It was within the past year (12 months) I became a KJB believer. For a few YEARS, I wouldn't touch a KJB because it had a man's name on it. I got saved 4 years ago. Now it's like I'm married, and it was the best move of my life.

What got me turned around was when a guy (Denlinger) mentioned the blood of the martyrs (like Tyndale) and the scholars who were behind the English Bible. I know, that's barely the tip of the iceberg as far as why we believe what we believe. But it is what got my attention. Something about that, and the notion that this "King James" was different than the way I was imagining him (basically a decadent King like the rest I've read of).

Anyways, I'd like to get a list and brief bio information together, of the men God used to get this book into our hands.

Why? For my own study, but more importantly, for getting other guys on track. If learning about this the men who risked at times lost their lives....if that got me on track, it'll work on other guys too!

I would just go look for books, except I don't want to read stuff that has subtle attacks against my bible....

Hello Bro. Holdridge,

Alexander McClure put together a book many years ago called
"Translators Revived: Biographical Notes on the KJV Translators."

I have not read it, but you can find the complete book here:

http://www.wilderness-cry.net/bible_study/translators/

I'm not sure if it contains any attacks, but McClure's book has been recommended by David Daniels over at Jack Chick's site:

"wouldn't touch a KJB because it had a man's name on it"

Never heard anybody say that about a KJB.
At least it doesn't have man's copyright on it. Glad to hear you finally saw the light!

One of Denlinger's KJV defense videos was what won me over to the KJV only camp as well.
