I have bought bibles from Local Church Bible Publishers (their bibles are the best quality I've seen)

but I am wanting to get a Thompson Chain Reference Bible and was wondering where the best place would be to order from....LCBP doesn't make a Thompson's

Any ideas, or general recommendation?

No I don't know. LCBP and Bearing Precious Seed, http://www.bpsmilford.org are also my first choice for Bibles.

But, if it helps, until you find a Thompson there are free computer Bible programs that have chain references, including Thompsons (maybe an older out of copyright edition). I tend to mostly use Nave's references for some reason though.

theWord http://www.theword.net is one. I'm not sure if e-Sword, http://www.e-sword.net, has a Thompsons or not, but I'm sure it has Nave's and probably Torrey's.

Welcome to the forum!

This site has it for e-sword; under dictionaries.

Thanks all. I wound up ordering a Thompson's off Amazon. Will definitely check out the other recommendations. I have Esword, and am pretty set electronically.

Church Bible Publishers does now. http://www.churchbiblepublishers.com/pr ... nce-bible/

I'm not clear if there is some technical difference between LCBP and CBP, but they clearly seem to be related to me. I just got a newsletter from CBP, and I would assume they got their mailing list from LCBP as I've only done business with them and BPS Milford (bpsmilford.org).

Quote:
Introducing Church Bible Publishers!

Welcome to Church Bible Publisher's (CBP) first newsletter! We are here to tell you who and what our company is, some of our recent changes and about the latest Bibles coming through the bindery. Thank you for taking your time to support CPB.

Many have asked the question, “Who and what is Church Bible Publishers?” CBP has been established to get the King James Bible and Scripture portions to both Christians and the lost. After his heart being burdened due to the “new wave” of the commercial world leaving the King James Bible and falling into the trap of the modern, copyrighted versions, Bro. Dennis Deneau and his wife Lee began to pray and seek out a way to produce a high quality King James Bible. Thus, the Bible publishing ministry began with the prayers and assistance of many churches that would help in assuring its preservation for the upcoming generations. Years later, after obtaining the only Bible bindery of its kind, found in Vermont, Bro. Deneau had his son Rob and his wife go to Vermont to learn the Bible Bindery business. There they trained, purchased the equipment, started Gold Leaf Enterprises and have continued in the business of making first-rate quality leather Bibles in America.

Dennis and Rob are still partnered together, binding and distributing bibles today, as they have for the last 10 years. You can check out the some of our high quality Bibles below, and rest assured that they are made the same way with the same materials that you have come to expect. Also available are varies resource books including Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary and the Way of Life Encylopedia.
